So, today was the first day of semester two in my school. Friday our school was closed at the last minute because a snow storm was heading our way. I couldn't prep for day one because I've spent the last week marking and putting my room back together for the new semester.
Today when I zipped on my teacher costume, my "briefcase" was empty. As an experienced teacher, I normally find it easy to step in and out of my teacher costume, but today was tough as I saw the kids peering beyond the teacher costume and seeing the stress I felt because I hadn't been able to get ready.
My blog wasn't supposed to be about my teacher costume slipping today, but hey a blog is what it is right.
Anyways, to my students -- your blog should be your personal reflection on what we've been doing in and out of the classroom -- it isn't a diary. I want you to include some of your thoughts and feelings, but this isn't a tell - all / reveal it assignment. Keep track of what we do and tell me what you think, what you've learned, what you liked, what you didn't like, etc.. See you in class!
